The term "low vision" is usually used to describe the experience of having a vision impairment that cannot be corrected and which interferes with daily activities. Individuals who meet that standard for legal blindness sometimes identify as having low vision. Individuals with low vision typically use a variety of strategies and assistive technologies to access information and to perform daily tasks. Magnification is often beneficial to individuals with low vision, but the degree of magnification needed varies. Individuals with low vision may also use many of the technologies used by or designed for individuals who are blind.
